I’m sure you will agree that the recent repairs and renovations to the church were timely and that the end result more than meets expectations. We were also fortunate to be able to do some
unforeseen repairs to the stained glass windows and paint the tower louvres, so that we can look forward to many more years of praise and worship in our beautiful building.
On Sunday 5th May we are planning a special service of thanksgiving at which you will have the opportunity to make a donation (gift aided if possible) towards this work.
I’m sure that many of you are wondering how much this work has cost. While all the bills will not have been paid at the time of writing, the final figure will be in the region of £73,000 + VAT.
Along with the use of funds raised over the past 3 years (approximately £10,000) we are hopeful of receiving a grant and we are eligible to apply for a refund of some of the VAT. Settling the
balance will, however, leave our reserves substantially depleted.
