April came with a huge surprise when we had several days of heavy snow and a snowstorm and then as suddenly as it appeared it disappeared, and then the spring was back again. It’s wonderful that we now can have our picnics outdoors and as usual we are bringing Teebo our 9-month kitten with us. It’s great training for her, as we are planning to take her with us on our summer holiday.
Thank you all for praying for our Easter Sunday family service, which was wonderful and especially when all the children in the church participated in the service, as did our first Emmaus choir, a choir consisting of both adults and children. What a great joy it was to come together as a church to celebrate Christ’s victory over sin and death and to celebrate his resurrection.
A couple of weeks ago, we had the great privilege to welcome seven new members to Emmaus church. That caused a celebration with a big frosting cake. All of them are in one way or the other already involved in different ministries in the church, which is a great blessing. Chris and Richard have finished the preaching series from Matthew 5-7 and have started on 1–3 John’s letters.
On Thursday 11th April we are meeting in Stockholm with different leaders from different churches and Christian organisations, to talk about cooperation and collaboration for future church planting in Stockholm city. Please pray for wisdom for that meeting.
At the end of April, Chris is taking a short trip to Serbia to visit one of our close friends who have been very sick. Unfortunately, Lotta will not be able to come along.

- Praise the Lord for our Easter Sunday family service
- Give thanks to the Lord for the new members and for the church growth, not only in numbers but also in maturity of Christ.
Prayer points
- Pray for wisdom for us as the church plant is growing, and more people need to be trained.
- Please pray for the meeting we are having with the local church leaders and leaders from the different Christian organisations. Pray for wisdom and unity, and pray that we all will be Kingdom minded.
- Pray for our apprentice Henrik, who is growing both in knowledge and love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Pray for a young couple in Uppsala, Dennis and Maria, as Dennis is probably starting his apprenticeship in August.
- Pray also for Chris’ trip to Serbia, and for all those he will meet up with.
