Dear mission partners and friends,
Our Newsletter is nearly done and will soon come out, but until then here are some of our praise and prayer points.
We have just returned from Gothenburg where we attended an Equipped conference organized by Trevor Watson and the international Baptist church in Gothenburg. On the conference, the main speaker was Christopher Ash and His wife Carolyn who spoke in a women’s session. It was a really great and deeply needed conference for Sweden. Pray for the expository ministry in Sweden. Langham Preaching is here in Stockholm and the Equipped (Proclamation Trust) in Gothenburg. Pray especially for pastors and ministers in Sweden (especially for those who attended the conference) to realize the importance of putting God’s Word back in the driving seat.
We had our first guys meeting in Åkersberga, a good mixture of Christians, new believers and not-yet-believers. It was a great opportunity to get to know each other, share stories and prayers. Good food and fellowship.
In our English speaking bible study group in Stockholm City, we are doing ‘2 Ways to Live’ and several members in the group are teaching the course. It is partly training for them how to run such a course but also an opportunity to better learn the gospel and how to share it with others. Pray for the bible study group in Stockholm and the leaders we are training there.
The previous Sunday we had a great outreach day in Åkersberga (were the Emmaus church is) and we had a great opportunity to talk to a lot of people and share the Gospel. Pray for the people who heard the Gospel, that God will give growth to the planted seeds.
Pray also for the children’s ministry, we have several new families joining in, many with a non-Christian background. Which are both a great excitement and a challenge. Pray for us as we are trying to reach out to the parents with the gospel.
Concerning the church building, a couple of times we met in Richard and Dorothy’s home. It wasn’t easy to squeeze in 25+ and children. But we managed. The good news is that a neighbour of the church has decided to help out with the water supply for the church so we can start having our meetings in the church building again. This is only a temporary solution but we are still very grateful – it’s an answer to prayers.
We want to thank you for all your prayers, support and encouragements. We feel so blessed to have you as partners in the mission here in Sweden.
Yours in Christ,
Chris & Lotta
