Dr Alan McIlhenny gave us a moving pictorial presentation to convey the work of Open Schools World Wide in providing free schooling to the many ‘unregistered’ Children in Africa. He is pictured here with one of their Lap Desks which has a blackboard on the reverse. £40 will pay for 3 years basic schooling for one child. The schools are located close to where the children live usually in any kind of shelter which provides shade and are staffed by Christian volunteers.
